Assalamualaikum w.b.t

As you know, today will be my last day here in  [company]  I would like to take a second to thank each and every one of you especially [department] for helping to create such a satisfying and pleasant work environment over the last XX month.

As happy as I am to be moving on to the next chapter of my life, I have enjoyed (almost) every moment here, from the hilarious conversations in the mamak stall, to the numerous staff events such as futsal.

But, beyond this, most of all I truly appreciate the support and guidance that was always available to me. So, thanks again everybody. Its been quite a ride. I hope to see everybody outside of the office in the other day.

Sample of Farewell Notes #11

Dear colleagues, 

The next few days are going to my last few days of service in [company]  With heavy heart, I have decided to move on to take up a new role outside of [company]. 

It has been a great XX months of experience, works and challenges to me. With due respect, when I came in, the [department] was not playing its supposed roles, and the  [department] staff are lowly motivated, disorganized and unmanaged.  [department] was a subject of complaint rather than a support service provider. It took me a lot to first organize that, bringing the team's motivation up, and making them believe that they can do much better. And my team rose to the challenge, and has progressed with so much improvements ever since. They may have not been at their best yet, but they have certainly proven to me that they have the character to improve and excel, if given the support and guidance, which are the only two key things I have provided them. All the improvements of [department] has been from their own relentless efforts and dedication. I couldn't thank my team enough for making my tasks possible. Like I always said to them, "Change is inevitable, the one who can respond in the most productive ways will prevail." 

Despite the perception of  [department]  team has also given their full support in letting me run my role with a lot of freedom. Many was betting on how long I can stay, instead I keep telling myself, its how much I can do in whatever time I have that is far more important. So I decided to push myself doing the best I could with all the initiatives that I have rolled out, because I have always work on the principle that, wherever I go, even if my tenure is uncertain, then death is. Alhamdulillah, within XX months, this is by far the most I have achieved compared to all my previous roles. And that is mainly due to the full support of the fellow  [department] team. And I thank them for that, and I'd like to leave them with one of my favorite quote "Leadership is lifting the teams’s vision to high sights, the raising of a person’s performance to a higher standard, the building of a personality beyond its normal limitations." 

To all staff, its been a great pleasure serving you all. I've tried my best, and I know sometimes my best weren't good enough. With approximately XXX employees, I have as much expectations, and its impossible to meet them all. We all are lucky to be working in this company as this is a good company to work for. There are so much memories to cherish, experiences to learn from, and I've enjoyed every moment. Thank you for all those memories and experiences. 

I would like to humbly seek forgiveness for any wrong-doings and wrong-sayings, I'm sure there were, rest assured there were all professional, InsyaaAllah nothing personal. Likewise, I will leave with my sincere forgiveness. I'm sure our path will cross again in future, until then, I'm signing off with another great quote "It's not how long you have lived, it's how much you have achieved while you live that matters most."
